A time for change: An Effort for a Safer Philippines

This year's theme  “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines." Highlights the need to take the initiative to take action in the alarming rates of violence experienced by children in the Philippines, as well as abuse faced the youth. It calls for the need of efforts in order to break this cycle. A cycle that had been manifested from generation to generation.

Advocating for improved child protection laws and raising public awareness about the effects of child maltreatment on their mental and physical health, as well as their overall well-being.

The theme heavily emphasizes the value of creating a safe environment for the youth to live in without problems to be faced, to be educated safely, to grow, learn, and live happily. This should encourage various sectors -the government, adults, parents, individuals, and society. In order to accomplish the mission to protect child rights and their safety.
